I had my doctor's appt. today and the baby is fine! I didn't gain any more weight these last 4 weeks....I believe I lost one pound.
I can tell you that I am having mild contractions, but it's nothing to worry about at this time. The doctor says I have to start documenting when these occur and how long they last. So far, they last less than 10 seconds. If they last 30-45 seconds then I need to call the doctor. They will then give me a baby monitor to take home to check on me. The doctor says it is ok for me to travel for the baby shower, but if these contractions start happening more than twice a day then I might not go and I will go into preterm labor instead!! I don't feel that this would happen but you never know!
Baron kept me awake from 1am to 6am today....ugh...
You could see his little head or butt poking out above my belly. Nothing seemed to work to make him quit so I sang him some songs and he finally settled down.
I just got back from the bomb shelter at the courthouse cause we have tornados at the moment. I spent about an hour to two hours there. Now it's just raining and we just had quarter-sized hail.
I think it is going to last till midnight. I am staying up until Dee gets home cause he is chasing them right now and trying to help people take cover (in Kress). The t.v won't work...so I just have my computer and my phone.
Such a long and interesting day....I will keep you all updated on the contractions.
love yall

What? Contractions? Is that Normal? You better not be doing too much--especially now!! See you in May!!
The doctor says that contractions at this stage is normal. He said I could see up to TWO contractions a day....just minor Braxton-Hicks contractions. They don't hurt, just feel awkward and makes me wanna push. They mostly happen when I am laying down.
OMG! i have heard of those but I didnt know they start already!
WOW!! That means you must be getting close!! They haven't moved your due date have they??
no they haven't moved the date. But the doc said it was normal??? so I don't know.
Well, like Andrea Says, you just need to take it easy and don't do too much, even though the doctor says it is normal. I thought like Jillian, when you told me, and thought maybe your due date was earlier. Well, take care.
Jerri had told me about Kress, but I told you it was Keller. ha.ha. sounds the same to me. But am glad you did not have a tornado and that you and Dee are safe. love Mom
If your contractions are are Braxton-Hicks contractions, they are normal, as your doctor said. I remember having them with both of my pregnancies. My doctor told me that they are my body's way of getting ready for real labor. I remember several times a day my stomach getting very hard during a contraction, although I never really wanted to push during one of them. It was just slightly uncomfortable. Hang in there!!
Love ya!
