So other than trying to find the time to clean the second bedroom for another round of guests, I have to find the time to clean the oven of all the burnt juices from my apple pie......ugh! It was my first time to make one; which by the way was the bomb, i must say! But, I didn't put a cookie sheet/pan underneath the dang thing so all the yummy juices fell to the bottom. "No big deal"..i thought..."I'll just put it on SELF-CLEAN mode"!!!! Yeah....bad idea. It caught on fire!!! I freaked out and grabbed the baby. My husband, who's not afraid of anything, told me to calm down; that nothing was going to happen. I thought it was going to explode! Lesson Learned.
My little sweet potato is down for a nap now..... one for feeding and then bedtime!

So, what did you do about the fire? Just let it burn out by itself?? Haha.. that's crazy.. I woulda freaked out too. Well, at least the pie was still good!
The pie looks very yummy!!! Sorry about the fire!! I guess Dee was home and got it out!! I wouldnt have known what to do!!
The fire went out by itself....We dont have a fire extinguisher....but luckily, Dee has one in his patrol car!

The pie looks delicious! I'm sure the fire was scary. I'm glad Dee was there to put the fire out! Yes, you are supposed to wipe out the oven before you turn on the self cleaning option! You'll know for next time! :)
Yes, those are my favorite pics also. The pie looks yummy. Hmmm some ice cream on top and a cup of coffee. I'll be right over. As for cleaning the oven again, I'd wait till Dee is home.
Well, I visited Lady Hoover and her family, and luckily there was some Apple Pie left over. It was scrumptious. And I did have it with a dollop of ice cream and hot coffee. Yummmmm!!
